Biographical Information

We have a wide background in film production and experience in presenting music and film festivals in Europe. Timothy Foster, the founder of Silent Sound Films, formerly worked for the companies of Lord Attenborough and Lord Puttnam. He is a writer and journalist and has published many articles and reviews, particularly on contemporary art, in the UK and USA. While living in the Southern Netherlands, he helped co-ordinate the second Reder European Junior Piano Festival. In London he has organised concerts of new music at the Royal Festival Hall, Purcell Room and St. John's Smith Square and most recently he founded the Harwich Film Festival, now in its fifth year. In 1998 and 2000 he programmed the films for the London Food Film Fiesta and in 2001 he began developing the information site which now extends to 250 pages, having grown into an international discussion about food and its connection with the arts.
